Scarpelli Mechanical recently installed one of the first Daikin Atmosphera units with R-32 in Commack, New York. This system is ideal for both residential and commercial spaces with heating and cooling requirements, even in extreme temperatures. The Daikin ATMOSPHERA Single-Zone System can achieve up to 100% heating capacity at 5°F and serves as an efficient source of heat to offset old, inefficient furnaces or boiler systems, aligning with electrification and decarbonization goals.

R-32 refrigerant is more efficient than R-410A and has no impact on the ozone layer, making it a preferred alternative. ABCO HVACR Supply + Solutions and Daikin Comfort Technologies have partnered with Scarpelli Mechanical to install the first two Daikin ATMOSPHERA units with R-32 refrigerant in New York, taking the lead in the industry’s switch to next-generation refrigerants with lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) than R-410A.
